Overnight Apple Almond Oats Recipe

- 1/3 cup rolled or quick oats gluten-free oats are available
- 2/3 cup unsweetened almond milk or rice, soy, low fat animal milk if allergic to nuts
- 1/3 cup applesauce unsweetened
- 1/3 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp fresh nutmeg
- 2-3 tsp chia seeds
- Chopped almonds and diced apples to top oats
Put all of the ingredients in a 1-cup jar and shake.
Stir to make sure you get everything mixed up.
Place in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours. They get creamier if they sit overnight.
When you wake up, sit them on the counter to warm up (or heat up for 1-2 minutes).
Top with chopped almonds and apples.
