A Quick, Healthy Breakfast or Satisfying Snack
I’ve seen the idea of banana pops before, but I started thinking about how I could make them even yummier without adding trouble, time, or bad stuff. I like variations, so I came up with 3 I think you’ll like. Plus, at under 100 calories a pop, I can’t stop eating these frozen little cuties! (I just ate one as I wrote this.)
What’s so great about bananas?
Full of potassium, Vitamins C and B6, bananas have about 100 calories and 3 g of fat. They make a great breakfast or snack component for adults or kids. If we add a little plain yogurt, granola, and some flavors, we got ourselves a quick, but super tasty treat that you will love as much as kids.
Yogurt covered banana pops are easy to make. Three flavors!

Instructions
Get your ganola
- Pour the granola in a flat dish (about the size of two bananas) where you can spread it out.
- Set aside.
Mix your yogurt
- Measure your yogurt and put it in a small bowl.
- No matter what flavor you're making, combine the yogurt with all other ingredients except the bananas and granola.
- Mix together.
Prep your bananas
- Peel your bananas.
- Cut them in half so you have two short bananas.
- Put the popsicle sticks into the flat ends.
- I lay them on a half sheet pan lined with a Silpat. You can use parchment paper.
Assemble your pops
- Cover each banana half with 1TBS of yogurt and 1 TBS of granola.
- Put sheet pan with pops in freezer uncovered for at least 12 hours.
- Once frozen, pull out of freezer and eat!
Wrap and store
- To store, simply wrap each pop in parchment and put in a ziploc.
- Keep in freezer. Grab and go!
Notes
A total Healthy You Can Live win-win!
These literally take 5 minutes to assemble. For me, 4 pops at a time sets me up for a week, but you could easily double this and make 8. Plus, I love having frozen bananas on hand for smoothies.
We have tried your recipes before and they always delight, but this one may just bump us over the edge! The chocolate yogurt idea is brilliant, can hardly wait to make and EAT!
I am so hooked on these super yummy treats. The chocolate covered and peanut butter chocolate are addictive. (But you know me and chocolate…) Enjoy!
